Rev. Elaine Rose- CEO/ Founder

Rev. Elaine Rose is the CEO/ Creator of the J&D Road Outreach Inc. She is the Co-Pastor & Youth Pastor of Promiseland Baptist Church located 850 Maple St. Staunton, VA. She was licensed to the gospel of ministry on Sept 30, 1995 by the North River Baptist, Bridgewater, VA under the Pastorship of Rev. Beverly Walker. Rev. Rose now holds the positions of Youth President & Corresponding Secretary of The Berean Valley Baptist Association and is the 2nd Vice President of the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County Ministral Alliance. She is also the founder of the "Just for women Sweetheat Teas'" (2000-05) and the "Miss Black Elegance Beauty Pageants" (2001-02).

Jeff Toye- Co- Founder

Jeffery is a Graduate of Staunton City Schools. Also he is Co- Founder of Jericho and Damascus

Joyce Bates- Administrave Assistant

Joyce Bates is currently a student at Mary Baldwin College. She is pursuing a degree in Business. She has 10 years of clerical experience. Also Joyce is the youth choir director at Promiseland Baptist Church of Staunton, VA

Brandon Rose- Administrative/ Tech Support

Brandon Rose is currently a student at Blue Ridge Community College. He is pursuing a degree in sociology. He graduated in 2006 from Robert E. Lee High School. Also Brandon is a member of the youth choir and usher board at Promiseland Baptist Church of Staunton, VA.

Rev. Erwin L. Black- President

Rev. Erwin L. Black is currently the pastor at Promiseland Baptist Church of Staunton, VA. He has pastored for 24 years. He is the Moderator of the Berean Valley Baptist Association and of Virginia Western District Church School Convention. He holds a Bachelors in Divinity from Virginia Seminary College of Lynchburg, VA. He also holds a Electronic Bachelors degree (Radio/ Television/ Communication). He worked for Bath County School Board for 28 years and also worked at the Homestead Hotal for 15 years. He worked 4 years at the Bath County Hospital.

Preston Carter- Vice President

Clara Sheffey- Treasurer

Clara Sheffey of Staunton, VA worked for 27 years for Abraxas House (a half-way placement for male youth offenders). She also holds an Associates degree in Human Services from Blue Ridge Community College.

Diane Kellogg- Asst. Treasurer

Diane Kellogg currently works for the Waynesboro, VA Office on Youth. She owned and operated a pre-school. She also started a Non-profit organization and was the CEO of the organization

Esquewie I. Jones- Secretary

Esquewie Jones of Staunton, VA is a member and Trustee at Mt. Salem Baptist Church of Staunton. She was a counselor at Abraxas House (a half-way placement for male youth offenders) for almost 30 years. She is the Financial Secretary of the African American Festival.

Mary King- Member

Mary King has worked for a financial institution for the past 4 years.She is a Certified Relationship Banker. She is also a community member.

Our mission is to plant seeds of hope within youthful ex-offenders in our community, faithfully watering these seeds with life-skills lessons and job training, nurturing and fertilizing them with love and support, and witness the harvest of new life.
